URGENT APPEAL -- FREILASSUNG -- FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Dear friends of FFM,

We aks for the immediate release from emprisonment of Harald, co- founder and co-worker of FFM, Forschungsgesellschaft Flucht und Migration, who was arrested on the 19th of December. Also we urge for the immediate release of Axel H. and Sabine B.E. in Frankfurt/Main. We feel in solidarity with them, especially with Harald who is one of our international colleagues in the field of refugees and the matter of immigration. We cooperate with FFM in an international network on migration, we exchange information and research on the national and international asylumpolicy. This cooperation, also with Harald, is of great relevance in the international situation on migration which is getting worser every day. Human rights of refugees, migrants and illegal aliens are violated more and more. One part of the work of FFM, and especially of Harald, is researching the situation on the east borderline of Germany, one of the frontlines of Fortress Europe. This work is of great importance for our work in the Netherlands and in the European area.

We support the demand of FFM, and we demand it ourselves, for the immediate release of Harald and the other arrested people, so that they can continue their work on human rights.
